Welcome to ICEPS!

The Higher School of Vocational Studies was founded back in 2005 under the name Higher Vocational School for Propaganda and Public Relations, and in 2014 it changed its name to the Higher Vocational School of Marketing Communications.

Since 2017, the School has undergone radical changes in order to modernize and follow the current positive trends in education, health, economy, as well as the country as a whole, and it becomes the International Center for Professional Studies (ICEPS).

ICEPS:

  • is accredited by the National Entity for Accreditation and Quality Assurance in Higher Education of the Republic of Serbia (NAT)
  • holds a license to operate issued by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia;
  • has signed a number of cooperation agreements with the most prestigious health care institutions, institutions, higher education institutions, and partners from the Republic of Serbia and abroad;
  • certain institutions from the country or region have expressed their interest in our graduate students “in advance”;
  • Nursing and Physiotherapy study programs are practically 100% harmonized with the EU curricula;
  • at the recent education fairs in Belgrade and the countries of the region, the interest of potential students was quite high
  • has more than 170 teachers and associates, more than 10 visiting associates from several countries in the region and the EU;
  • school headquarters is in Belgrade and there are also regional higher education centers (RHEC) in Novi Sad, Vršac and Leskovac;
  • has a desire and promises to grow, develop, and justify the trust placed in us by our current and future students.

All this motivates us to quickly work further on strengthening the teaching quality and service efficiency towards students and partners.

The most important characteristics of ICEPS are:

  • Absolute focus on practice – with practice and exercises being the dominant activities, the study programs in Nursing and Physiotherapy are practically 100% harmonized with the EU curricula. Our students thus become as attractive to employers as "those who already know the job".
  • Complete compatibility with or great similarity of study programs to EU programs.
  • Lecturers with rich practical and many years of international work experience. In addition: our students are taught only by those experts who are good lecturers.

In conclusion: the quality of work and European standards must be a priority because only such a way of working can provide a long lifespan, provide students with the pleasure of studying, and their future clients, partners, patients, customers, etc. with the satisfaction of the service received. The fact that quality finds its way to those who want to find it is gradually becoming crystal clear.

Mission

Development and implementation of high quality, complementary, deficient, European-oriented, applied, and competitive programs, which are primarily needed to support the economies of Serbia and the countries of the region. The mission of this institution is for students to master professional (vocational) skills above all else, but pedagogical-educational and research activities as well, and further to support the community as a center for encouraging the development and acquisition of knowledge in various disciplines. ICEPS permanently cooperates with relevant universities from the region and other European countries with the intention of constantly acquiring new skills and knowledge. Thus, this higher education institution contributes to economic and cultural development and value shaping on the basis of interdisciplinarity and transnationality.

Vision

To become a seat of higher education, especially as a center for professional (vocational) skills studies but also research that will creatively solve technological, health, sociological, ecological, cultural, and intercultural challenges of Southeast and Central Europe, especially the Danube region and the Balkans, through applied and strategic development. As an open academic community, together with its partners, it will strive to offer skills experts, as well as projects for technological and sustainable development and survival of the regional intercultural, sociological, health, and environmental balance.

Goals

They arise from basic tasks, and must be realistic, specific, achievable and measurable. The first, short-term goal of ICEPS is for its students to acquire the necessary knowledge in appropriate skills and to be able to apply that knowledge in a real-world environment. In addition to skills and knowledge, students should acquire the ability to think and reason critically in certain real situations through undergraduate and specialist studies. The long-term goal of ICEPS is to train students to work independently in appropriate jobs, depending on the type of study.

Development Strategy

The activity is based on the strategic directions:

  • development of study programs that educate for applied and promising professions,
  • development of comprehensive professional and scientific disciplines on which study programs are based,
  • performing applied research activities and sharing achievements with the environment,
  • cooperation with economic, health, educational, and cultural institutions,
  • performing professional development and advisory work,
  • establishing international connections with educational and research institutions.
